Why look outside Childress

Same work, different town, brand-new park.

Childress has had a hard year on housing. Rents have climbed steeply as the data center campuses staff up, and the city has been working through a water supply problem since early September, with a citywide boil-water notice and Stage 4 restrictions in place.

Memphis is a separate city on a separate municipal water system, 29 miles northwest, and the park here is new from the ground up. For anybody working the Childress campuses, it is a half-hour commute to a site that was poured this year.
